Born in Amsterdam, Made in France

House of Coalesce was founded in 2020 by Rajae El Yaacoubi.

Born in the East but raised in the West, the founder had always been enamored by the myriad of scents that surrounded her throughout her life.

Her childhood was a symphony of fragrances – from the rich spices of her grandmother’s kitchen in Morocco to the blooming tulips in the gardens of the Netherlands.

During a visit to the flower auction of Aalsmeer an idea began to take root. She envisioned perfumes that would capture the essence of her life’s journey, bridging the gap between the scents of the East and the West. This concept would be an ode to the fusion of her heritage and upbringing – as it would for many others like her.

She was determined to bring her vision to life with the expertise of the French savoir-faire which lead her to Grasse, the capital of perfume. She immersed herself in the art of perfumery, learning from generations of perfumers who had honed their craft for centuries.

Her mission was clear: to create innovative and inclusive scents that celebrated the harmonious blend of Eastern and Western fragrances. The perfumes would be a testament to the beauty of cultural diversity and the power of scent to unite people across borders.

Committed to inclusivity, Rajae continuously collaborates with perfumers and artisans from different parts of the world, ensuring that every scent tells a story that resonates with people of all backgrounds. She believes that perfume has the power to transcend cultural boundaries and create a sense of belonging.
